Guys, it has been almost a YEAR since I posted about anything fitness… UGHH, and to be completely honest, it is hasn’t been because I have been so busy working out that I haven’t had time to tell ya’ll about it 😩😩😩.  For the last month or so, I haven’t done a single workout.  Not ONE!!

So today, Lucca, my mom and I were at the grocery store (and it was clearly sunny in there)

I got to the register with all the yumminess’ and I realized I forgot my purse in the car.  I ran out to get it, and when I got back, I WAS OUT OF BREATH… Like almost panting out of breath.  Yes, I did run my fastest to make sure I wasn’t holding anyone up in line, and it was 31 degrees out (so my car told me, which is pretty much a metrologist) but I felt pretty bad about myself after that.  I use to be fit.  I should be able to run to the car and back and not feel like I ran a marathon for hours.

I came home and declared to everyone that I am working out today, and at least 3 times a week for like the rest of my life.  And my husband, the groceries, the dinners, oh yeah and the three that transformed my body into this hot mess ARE NOT STANDING IN MY WAY!!!  Not because I have a skimpy bathing suit to get into, not because I am in a wedding so I need to look hot.  Not even because I bought these Spanx leggings while they were on super sale Black Friday:

 

I WANT TO BE HEALTHY!!! I don’t want to be panting at the checkout line. Bottom line, we only get one life, and I want to live it to my fullest.  I feel good when I work out, it gives me energy, puts me in a better mood, so I am doing it!

Back to the Spanx, real quick.  I would NEVER spend that amount of money on leggings, however, now that I have a pair, I would say that I would pay that much for leggings 🤦🏼‍♀️🤭.   They are amazing!  You can dress them up, or wear with boots and a sweatshirt like I did that day (above) when we went and clipped some greens.  I LOVE them!  So if you are in the market for a great staple for your closet, they get my approval.  Judge if you want, but since they arrived, I have worn them 5 different days.  Hahha!

After declaring that I am working out more, I did PiYo and I am feeling really grateful for my Beachbody on Demand.  If I didn’t have it, I would still be scrolling Pinterest looking for some workout ideas to create on my own.  39 mins of the “sweat” video and I am feeling good! I chose PiYo, because I felt my body needed to stretch and get back in the groove and I know that Chalene would kick my bootie and I could make it through the whole workout without crying (like Shaun T makes me do in Insanity!!).  I will be sore tomorrow, my legs really felt it with the squats, but it is good for me.

Anyone who has done PiYo, knows how good that child’s pose can feel 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 AAHHH!
